Review

Adam Scott listens to the reading of his father’s will, aware that the contents can only be meagre. Along with 500 pounds, he is left with an envelope that his father had received and had never opened. Against his mother’s wishes, Adam Scott decides to do so and with it comes a whole host of problems that he did not foresee. He is tailed by the KGB, the CIA and his own countrymen as they try to make sense of it all. Within days, his lover is brutally murdered and he’s running for his life in the great cities of Europe.

This book is a good weekend or airport read. It keeps you hooked and you sit through it like you’re watching a movie in your head. Jeffrey Archer is a master at this kind of fiction and he manages to keep every page enjoyable and thrilling.
